Roumier had to use commercial yeast skins to finish a stuck fermentation. He admits that the yeasts brought a foreign flavor to the wine, and he fined and coarsely filtered it prior to bottling. The vintage was not released en primeur as it came along during the handover of ownership from the Robins to the Guinaudeaus, which is why there is still wine at the estate to share during the vertical.
