Vinified in stück and doppelstück (1,200- and 2,400-liter barrels, respectively) and aged on the full lees until the end of July, the 2020 Kiedrich Turmberg Riesling Trocken shows a fascinating, deep, intense and generous as well as complex and aristocratic bouquet of ripe yellow fruits and crushed dark stones. The Turmberg is darker-toned and deeper than the Klosterberg, maybe also even more complex and provided with substantial but elegant fruit. Full-bodied, refined and elegant on the palate, this is a lush, intense and expressive, seriously structured, very long, complex and tensioned Turmberg with a spectacularly long, multilayered and persistently salty finish. Seriously, the Turmberg has never been better than in 2020. For the first time since its re-activation in 2005, the Turmberg premier cru is on grand cru level. Its aftertaste is incredibly dense and compact but also salivating and provided with the energy and expression of a great wine. A Must Buy of the vintage and a Best Buy as well! Magnums preferred. Tasted at the domain in August 2021.

Golden yellow. Musky aromas of peach, butterscotch and cinnamon rise above the honeyed botrytis. Full-bodied caramelized fruits overwhelm the palate, only just balanced by the wine's oyster shell salinity. Succulent sweet nectarine pervades the finish. This wine still needs time.

Very lush and exotic. This lives from the almost erotic interplay of enormous ripeness, creamy richness and the fresh acidity that makes this massive wine so bright and enticing. This could live a century!

Picked on January 7, the 2016 Rheingau Riesling Kiedrich Gräfenberg Eiswein is super precise and spicy on the concentrated and aromatic nose where pineapple and some ethereal, spicy aromas are displayed. The wine is rich, round and elegant on the palate, very sweet but also piquant and pure, with very fine tannins and a long, vibrant finish. This is a truly great Eiswein with mind-blowing precision and sensual intensity. Total production: 900 liters. Tasted in October 2017.

"I love this wine," says Wilhelm Weil, who remembers the 1971 that he loved so much when he was still a child and stole a sip or two from vat no. 07 whenever his parents were away. "The 2018 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Spätlese is one of the finest in living memories of Robert Weil," he says. In fact, the 2018, based on grapes picked at 103° Oechsle and bottled with 9.3% alcohol and 65 grams of residual sugar, is so clear, precise and fresh as well as flinty, like the generic Spätlese but with so much more intensity and concentration. On the palate, this Gräfenberg Spätlese is lush but enormously precise, piquant and firm, very elegant and complex, with fascinating acidity and phenolic as well as mineral grip and tension. A fascinating wine and one of the finest Spätlese in Germany from the 2018 vintage. So mouthwatering and stimulating due to a low pH level and 10 grams of total acidity. However, Weil says the freshness is thanks to the "Bernsteinsäure" that characterizes many of the 2018s. Drink 2019 - 2070

The 2020 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Spätlese offers a deep, complex and refined bouquet with flinty aromas. Highly refined and elegant on the palate, this is a salty-piquant, fresh, vital and energetic Gräfenberg with a long, piquant and salty finish. Very young but really fascinating in its brilliance, piquancy and salinity. Tasted in August 2021.

VDP Ortswein. Lithe and elegant aromas of wet stone, apple and lemon zest. The stony minerality shapes the outline of the wine, while the acid sets the pace and the fruit colours in the lines. Extremely long and concentrated. Delightful, stony, pithy and fun.

From Bürgstadt’s coolish terroir, the 2019 Centgrafenberg Spätburgunder GG offers possibly the deepest, most intense and complete as well as generous bouquet of Fürst's 2019 Pinot trio, yet it still preserves this delicate, finessed and floral Pinot fruit that is reminiscent of dark cherries, black berries and raspberries with a touch of black cake, here combined with toasty notes. Silky, round and juicy on the palate, this is a full-bodied, very intense and concentrated yet lush and elegant Pinot with firm tannins and a tight, sustainably intense and salty finish with good mineral freshness. This is a highly promising Centgrafenberg that no Pinot lover should miss buying. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2021.

Lightish crimson. Much more inviting on the nose compared with the Klingenberg. There's red fruit and a fresh stemmy note (60% whole bunch) that adds a lovely scent to the fruit. Peppery too. Light and a little sour-fruited on the palate, delicate tannins, taut and fresh and just a baby.
