Wine Advocate (92-94)The 2022 Corbin has turned out beautifully, bursting with aromas of cherries and raspberries mingled with hints of violets, vine smoke and bay leaf. Medium to full-bodied, supple and velvety, it's bright, perfumed and polished, but with a touch more mid-palate density and texture than is habitual for this elegant-styled wine. It's a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, and such was the quality of all the lots that no second wine was produced this year. |

James Suckling (97-98)An incredible young wine that shows fantastic chalk and stone character on both the nose and palate. It’s full but super racy and intense, with a freshness and dryness that is very unique. Oyster shell and iodine character at the end. Salt and white pepper in the finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. From organically grown grapes. |

Jancis Robinson (16.5)Juicy and really quite elegant this year. Handles the alcohol well. Lifted red-fruit aroma. Round and generous on the palate then tightens and focuses on the finish. Just about enough freshness. GV (certainly compared with the grand vin)? (JL) 15.5% |

The Wine Cellar Insider (98-100)It takes nothing to sense all the intensity, freshness, and depth here. But, more importantly, it is the character. The wine is sensuous, sultry, and lively. The fruits are drenched in cashmere, and velvet that caresses your palate. The levels of depth, richness, opulence, and vibrancy must be felt to be believed. The finish, with its seemingly endless waves of black, blue, and red fruits, with their natural spiciness and purity is off the hook. The seamless finish looks at the 60 second mark, and keeps on going! This is the first vintage for Chateau Figeac as Premier Cru Classe A. With this wine, it is clear they deserve it. The wine blends 35% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Franc, and 31% Cabernet Sauvignon. 8% Press wine. 14% ABV, 3.7 pH. Picking took place September 1 - September 26. This is the earliest harvest in the history of Figeac. Yields were 34 hectoliters per hectare. Drink from 2027-2065. 98-100 Pts |

A hedonistic bomb offering full-bodied richness and a round, mouth-filling texture, with sweet tannins and remarkable freshness, it's a no-brainer Saint-Emilion that will evolve for two decades. |

Wine Advocate (93-95)Superb as the 2020 was, the 2022 Franc-Mayne appears to represent still another step up in quality for this seven-hectare clay-limestone terroir. Offering up aromas of dark berries, plums, raw cocoa, violets and bay leaf, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and fleshy, with a pure and vibrant core of fruit, supple tannins and a long, mouthwatering finish. The label marks this estate's first year of organic certification. |

Jeb Dunnuck (94-96)The 2022 Château Gracia showed beautifully, with a vivid ruby/purple hue as well as a great notes of ripe blue fruits, spring flowers, violets, and chalky minerality. A rough blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, it's medium to full-bodied, has plenty of richness and power, and offers an overriding sense of purity and elegance. It's gorgeous wine from Michel Gracia's tiny 1.83-hectare vineyard. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (93-95)The 2022 Grand Corbin Despagne is stellar. A large-scaled, dramatic wine, the 2022 possesses notable depth and tons of dimension. Inky dark fruit, lavender, licorice, violets and cloves build in a dramatic Saint-Émilion that marries opulence and structure. Clean mineral and savory accents extend the finish. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (93-95)The 2022 Grand Mayne was picked from 8 to 20 September and needed time to settle in the glass. Black cherries, crushed strawberry, graphite and licorice aromas appear with time. This needs its barrel maturation to cohere the aromatics. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet, slightly vanilla entry. The new oak is prominent at the moment, although there is sufficient fruit to soak that up. Indeed, a second sample demonstrates much more precision and sophistication on the finish. |

Jeb Dunnuck (94-97)Coming from vines southwest of the village and 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 Château La Clotte is one of my favorites in the lineup from the Vauthier family in 2022. Ripe black cherries, red plums, espresso, baking spices, and a beautiful sense of minerality all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, with nicely integrated oak, ripe tannins, and a great finish. |
