Then lush, broad and sweet; really quite voluptuous and velvety, with the chocolatey character following through on the palate. Fine-grained tannins will not get in the way of enjoying this layered, deep wine within four or five years after bottling, but it has the stuffing and supporting minerality for a long life in bottle. Complex nose blends black cherry, blueberry, licorice, spices and bitter chocolate; slightly liqueur-like. Then lush, broad and sweet; really quite voluptuous and velvety, with the chocolatey character following through on the palate. Fine-grained tannins will not get in the way of enjoying this layered, deep wine within four or five years after bottling, but it has the stuffing and supporting minerality for a long life in bottle.
