Superbly suave on the palate, more lifted than I expected and still the main core of the wine does not want to be touched. A fine mineral acidity at the finish but still wait and see. Only right at the end does it all start to kick in. A wine of immense density for the very long-term future. Retasting the glorious Cabotte reinforces the majesty of this Montrachet. Red-ruby. Highly aromatic nose combines minerals, licorice, chocolate mint, spiced bread and tobacco. Fresh and intensely flavored but very tight; conveys an impression of finesse and strong acidity.
