Wine Advocate (98+)As usual, there's only one barrel of the 2022 Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru Haute Densité, a glorious wine that will richly reward anyone able to attain a bottle—and to exercise the patience required to enjoy it at its best. Unwinding in the glass with notes of sweet orchard fruit, orange oil, oyster shell, freshly baked bread and wheat toast, it's full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a deep and multidimensional core of fruit, racy acids and a long, chalky finish. It's the king of the cellar, but it's also the most reserved wine in the range and really needs some time to show all its cards. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (91)Part of the production of the 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Les Tremblots has been late released onto the market. Sea spray and light lemon rind notes unfold on the nose, later joined by a touch of green apple. The palate is fresh and well balanced with a tangy entry, fine depth and focus with a bitter lemon hint mixed with chamomile toward the finish. This is excellent. |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (92-95)5 Star Wine. Clear bright colour, the nose is hyper-concentrated, a wealth of dense white fruit, which doesn’t speak so much of Puligny but this is a great wine. The concentration from the high density planting screams out loud at the back of the palate. Very long, and ultra-fine. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (91)The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Tremblots includes the younger vines in the high-density section of the vineyard. It has a crisp, well-defined nose with petrichor and oyster shell scents, the latter becoming stronger with aeration. The palate is well balanced and mineral-driven, with that oyster shell element defining the finish. This is excellent. |

Vinous (89-92)Pale lemon-yellow color. Slightly reduced, leesy scents of lemon, spices and musky flowers. Dense, ripe and juicy, conveying terrific cut and minerality to its flavors of lemon, orange oil and spices. Doesn't have quite the depth of a great vintage but finishes tactile and chewy, with strong minerality. |

Vinous (93)The 2017 Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard 1er Cru has a "cool" nose with cold granite mixed with undergrowth, moss-like scents with a touch of menthol. It is very intense on the palate, one of Lamy's spicier 2017s with a tang of ginger and lemon thyme on the finish. Excellent. |

Vinous (93)The 2018 Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard 1er Cru offers scents of granite and wet slate on the nose with hints of quince. Very terroir expressive. The palate is gorgeous, so tensile and extremely poised, seductive touches of apricot jam and repeating quince towards the complex finish. What a fabulous Saint-Aubin. |

Vinous (93)The 2020 Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard 1er Cru has a straight down the line limestone-scented bouquet with a touch of shucked oyster shells. The palate is very harmonious, taut and fresh, with crisp acidity and impressive tension. A surfeit of energy on the finish, this is a seriously fine Saint-Aubin. |

Wine Advocate (93)Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 St Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chatenière from Hubert Lamy is showing some reduction on the nose, though rigorous swirling reveals subtle walnut and candle wax scents complementing the citrus fruit. You need to give it some bottle age to remedy that reduction though. The palate is well balanced with a sharp, citric, quite tangy entry. Dried orange peel and walnut come through towards the finish that feels a little clipped, but otherwise this is a sophisticated Saint Aubin that simply insists on some bottle age. |

Wine Advocate (88+)Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting, the 2014 St Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chateniere from Domaine Hubert & Olivier Lamy was not as clean on the nose as its peers, slightly cheesy at first and then light mothball scents. The palate is fresh on the entry with a pretty kiwi fruit and Cornice pear opening; but it never achieves the same level of tension and focus as other premier crus from the appellation, and it seems to drift on the finish. This may well be entering a dumb phase, and it may well re-find the promise it demonstrated from barrel, hence my plus sign. |

Vinous (92)The 2015 Saint-Aubin Clos de la Chatenière 1er Cru has a crisp, earthy, almost zen bouquet that is more like a 2014 than a 2015. I appreciate the terroir expression here - you can sense the wine’s birthplace coming through with aeration. The nuanced palate is very well balanced and precise in style, displaying a fine bead of acidity and a gorgeous, lightly spiced, edgy, sappy finish that urges you back for another sip. Outstanding for the vintage. Highly recommended. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. (DIAM 10 closure) |

Vinous (92)The 2017 Saint-Aubin Clos de la Chatenière 1er Cru has an intriguing undergrowth and bell pepper-scented nose. There is a fine line of acidity on the palate, very tensile and focused on the saline finish, residual hints of stem ginger lingering on the aftertaste. Excellent. |
