(12x75cl) 2016Vinous (89+)
Medium bright yellow; a bit paler than the Maranges La Fussière. More peachy fruit and less earth on the nose. Then tighter than the Fussière on the palate, and less pliant by a wide margin. Still a rather fine-grained wine but finishes slightly hard-edged and youthfully dry, with a touch of bitterness but good length. There's more inner-mouth tension here but this wine will need patience. One-third of these vines were totally frosted, according to Alexandre Bachelet, but the other two-thirds were untouched.Inc. Wine Advocate (90-92)
The 2016 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly, which was taken from tank and fined, has quite a powerful, well-defined, lemon zest and walnut-scented bouquet that just springs from the glass. The palate is well defined with hints of blackcurrant complementing the malic fruit, with a touch of spiciness coming through on the finish. Very fine—one of the best from Alex Moreau this year.Inc. The 2017 Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard 1er Cru has a "cool" nose with cold granite mixed with undergrowth, moss-like scents with a touch of menthol. It is very intense on the palate, one of Lamy's spicier 2017s with a tang of ginger and lemon thyme on the finish. Excellent.Inc. GSTSG$1,663.86 -

The 2018 Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard 1er Cru offers scents of granite and wet slate on the nose with hints of quince. Very terroir expressive. The palate is gorgeous, so tensile and extremely poised, seductive touches of apricot jam and repeating quince towards the complex finish. What a fabulous Saint-Aubin.Inc. GSTSG$948.82 -
Wine Advocate (94-96)
Another tour de force from Lamy is the 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard Haut Densité, a magical wine that unwinds in the glass with notes of crisp Anjou pear, white flowers, citrus oil, warm bread and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, layered and complete, this searingly intense and assertively mineral Saint-Aubin brought tears to my eyes. Sadly, obtaining even a bottle will require considerable guile and a large disposable income, but what pleasures await the lucky few who will taste this profound white Burgundy.Inc. GSTSG$4,459.71 -

The 2010 St. Aubin En Remilly is another gorgeous, complete wine. It shows the brighter, more focused style of village. Citrus, white flowers and crushed rocks all take shape in the glass as this vibrant, chiseled Burgundy opens up in the glass. The finish is long, textured and absolutely impeccable.Inc. Wine Advocate (93)
The 2015 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly is excellent, offering up a pure and unadorned bouquet of crisp green apples, white flowers and crushed chalk that's classic Lamy. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, stony and saline, with bright, tangy acids and a pure, mineral finish. Right now, it's tight-knit and reserved, so several years' patience is advised.Inc. GSTSG$3,998.08 -
Vinous (91-93)
Aromas of lemon, menthol, crushed rock and ginger, plus a suggestion of spicy oak. Very rich, pliant wine with compelling sweetness and terrific energy to its flavors of crystallized lemon and lime and minerals; there's also a pear note here that reminded me of Chassagne-Montrachet. Conveys a strong impression of sappy density without weight, with the smooth, slowly mounting, gripping finish coating the palate with crunchy fruit and saline crushed-stone minerality. This assemblage of multiple parcels should make an outstanding Saint-Aubin wine.Inc. GSTSG$2,978.93 -
Vinous (94)
The 2018 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru is adorned with an initially oily, almost petrolly nose that recedes to leave aromas of freshly cut lemon plus a subtle algae note. Well balanced with fine acidity, this En Remilly is very cohesive towards the finish with lingering lemon curd and orange rind. Very good length, this is a brilliant wine.Inc. GSTSG$1,320.51 -
Vinous (88-91)
(30 hectoliters per hectare produced): Pale yellow. Brisk aromas of lemon and ginger. Then surprisingly supple in the mouth, offering captivating flavors of grilled hazelnut, spices and white pepper. The long, rising finish features strong salty minerality along with a faint hard edge that will require a long élevage.Inc. GSTSG$2,270.43 -

(3x75cl) 2016Vinous (91+)
Bright, green-tinged yellow. Aromas of lime, ginger and mint call to mind a mini-Chevalier-Montrachet. Juicy, pure and tightly wound, showing none of the exotic character of the Chatenière. This very concentrated, dry, linear wine finishes with terrific slowly unfolding length and precision--a bit austere today but not hard. Rémilly is just over the hill from Chevalier-Montrachet, so it's no coincidence that this is an outperformer for its appellation. Only 50% frost here, noted Pierre-Yves Colin. Lay this one down.Inc.
