Burghound (88-91)(from Les Condemennes, Les Athets and Les Babillières). A more floral-suffused nose speaks mostly of spicy red and dark raspberry scents. The supple lighter weight flavors possess an attractive mouthfeel and evident minerality that adds a sense of lift to the youthfully austere and impressively long if mildly tangy finish. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (89-91)The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Village comes from five parcels from two different fruit sources. It has a very light bouquet with brambly red fruit and cassis scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and a little more sophistication than the aromatics suggest, with a composed and slightly peppery finish. Drink this over the next eight to ten years. |

Burghound (88-90)The is also very pretty with its array of cool and pure red, earth and soft spice nuances, all of which is trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The delicious, round and sappy middleweight flavors possess solid mid-palate concentration and a seductive texture before culminating in a bitter pit fruit and mildly austere finish. |

Burghound (88-90)(this includes the fruit from the domaine’s .6 ha parcel of Au Bas de Combe as well as fruit from Les Lavières and the villages portion of Aux Grandes Vignes). Here the expressive nose blends hints of cassis and red berry liqueur with those of soft spice and newly turned earth. There is a lovely texture to the solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that also conclude in a firm, mildly warm and serious but not especially rustic or youthfully austere finish |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (90-92)Domaine fruit from Bas de Combe, plus purchased Grandes Vignes. Ruby purple in colour, picked at a more ideal ripeness than the Marsannay. Plenty of energy here in a rich red fruit with just a suggestion of blacker berries, yet with good acidity. Some plums to finish. Drink from 2029-2034. Tasted Nov 2024. |

Vinous (89-91)The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru comes from two vineyards, La Perrière and Terre Blanches, the former affected by hail in August. It has a relatively simple bouquet, though it seems fresh and focused. The palate is lighter in style, quite elegant, nicely poised if just missing a little substance on the finish. |

Vinous (89-91)The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru, which comes from Les Hauts Pruliers (this is unlikely to be mentioned on the label). This is a significant level up from the Village with precise light red cherry and strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with finely-chiselled tannins, quite linear and grippy, dark berry fruit towards the finish. |

Vinous (91-93)The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Boudots 1er Cru needed a lot of aeration before it finally graced me with its presence. There is no stem addition in this vintage as there has been in previous years. It has a very well-defined bouquet even though it feels "aloof" at the moment, presenting sous-bois-infused black fruit and traces of iodine. The palate is well balanced with a slightly lactic, licorice-tinged entry. A precocious Les Boudots in the making. There is firm structure, good grip and a countervailing sorbet-like zip on the finish. This has all the components of a very fine Nuits Saint-Georges, but it will require cellaring. |

Vinous (93-95)The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Boudots 1er Cru has a very expressive bouquet with ebullient red and blue fruit combined with violet and crushed stone scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, nicely poised with quite a strict finish that indicates that this will need some bottle age. |

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (91-94)Dark purple black, full of energy, almost too much, the fruit is pretty ripe as well, some black cherry notes, balanced on the palate, some coffee to finish. Wouldn’t want it to be any riper. Always a lower acid site. 13.3% but the aromatics show that it needed to be picked. Tasted: December 2021. |

Vinous (91-93)(14% alcohol!): Dark red with ruby tones. Deep, musky scents of black raspberry, smoke and game; very ripe but reserved. Dense, tactile and concentrated, with its raspberry, animal fur, chocolate and saline flavors communicating an impression of strong dry extract. More than enough stuffing here to support the ripe tannins. |

Wine Advocate (92-94)The 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers is showing especially well, unwinding in the glass with notes of sweet wild berries, plums, sweet soil tones and smoked meats. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, textural and concentrated, with lively acids, ripe tannins and a long, penetrating finish. Like many of Méo's 2018s, I suspect it will offer a broad drinking window. |

Wine Advocate (92-94)The 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Murgers is showing particularly well—just like its 2018 predecessor at the same stage of its élevage. Wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, wild berries, rich soil tones, spices and grilled meats, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, with lively acids, beautifully refined tannins and a charming, gourmand profile. |

Tim Atkin MW (94)Pick up some 2020 while you can as 11 barrels were made. In 2021, only four were made. This will need a few years to come around with its slightly drying tannins, but otherwise, this is almost ready to enjoy. The mid-palate feels satiny and tastes of black cherries and licorice. The whole package is lifted by well-placed acidity that dances across the back palate. 2024-30 |

Burghound (90-93)(from a .73 ha parcel of 40+ year old vines). A deft application of wood sets off the markedly ripe yet still nicely fresh nose of poached plum, black cherry liqueur and warm earth. As one would reasonably expect, there is better volume and density to the more powerful medium-bodied flavors that are at once rich and caressing before terminating in a palate soaking, very firm and sneaky long finish. Lovely and a wine that should be approachable after only 5-ish years yet easily reward a decade plus of cellaring |
