This is also aromatically restrained but impressively layered with its array of plum, exotic Asian-style tea, crushed anise and floral scents along with discreet oak nuances. There is good size, weight and power to the bigger-bodied flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the slightly short, mildly warm and awkward finish. As the description suggests, this was an odd showing as everything seems to be in place yet the finish ends abruptly and as such, it’s hard to predict how it will eventually age out. |
