It's not massive or overtly concentrated, yet it has this upfront, juicy, approachable style that should keep nicely for 10-12+ years or more. The 2022 is 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc. |

The Puy-Blanquet 2022 exemplifies the pinnacle of fine Chilean winemaking, hailing from the illustrious Maipo Valley. Crafted by the esteemed Puy-Blanquet winery, this exceptional red blend combines meticulously selected Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. Hand-harvested from sustainably managed vineyards, the grapes undergo an artisanal fermentation process in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve their pure fruit character. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, imparting elegant notes of cedar, vanilla, and subtle spice. The Puy-Blanquet 2022 presents a deep ruby colour, offering complex aromas of blackcurrant, plum, and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, it delivers a harmonious balance of ripe fruit, fine tannins, and a lingering, sophisticated finish. Perfectly suited to complement red meats and aged cheeses, the Puy-Blanquet 2022 stands as a testament to the producer’s dedication to quality and craftsmanship. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92-94)The 2022 Quinault L’Enclos is wonderfully polished, but what impresses most is the wine’s balance. In most vintages, the components are evident for a young Quinault, but the 2022 inspires with a seamlessness I don’t recall seeing in the past. Perhaps that is a reflection of a blend that was done early, prior to the malolactic fermentation. Dark blue/purplish fruit, grilled herbs, lavender, spice and graphite are some of the many notes that come alive in the glass. The 2022 is a gorgeous wine and potentially one of the sleepers of this vintage. |

It's rock-solid stuff offering terrific notes of darker cherries, plums, spicy wood, and candied violet notes in a richer, medium to full-bodied, concentrated style.
