The 2022 La Garde has a very appealing nose: blackberry, briar and light bay leaf scents unfold in the glass. The oak is beautifully integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, gentle grip and fine balance, although it loses some vigour in the glass, causing me to reduce my score. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London. In BondSG$229.00 -

La Garde Blanc 2022 epitomises the elegance and precision of French viticulture. Crafted in the esteemed appellation of Burgundy, this exquisite white wine is predominantly made from Chardonnay grapes, meticulously hand-harvested from biodynamically managed vineyards. Domaine du Château de la Garde, the esteemed producer, boasts a heritage spanning over three generations, dedicated to sustainable practices and expressing the unique terroir of the region. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the wine's vibrant acidity and delicate floral aromas.
