Wine Advocate (98)
The 2006 Pingus is a spectacular effort. A glass-staining saturated opaque purple, it delivers an other-worldly perfume of smoke, lavender, mineral, scorched earth, and an amalgam of kinky black fruits. Voluptuous on the palate in a measured way, it has superb balance, layered, complex flavors, ripe tannin that is entirely covered by the fruit, and a decade of aging potential. This monumental wine will evolve effortlessly for 10-15 years and offer a drinking window extending from 2016 to 2036.Inc. GSTSG$15,361.11 -

Just mid ruby with broad orange-tinged rim. Lifted, fresh and a little wild on the nose! Ripe sweet cherry with a spiced theme running through it. Crunchy tannin. Great balance and style and unpolished.Inc. GSTSG$2,365.78 -

Salvioni's 2008 Brunello di Montalcino speaks to finesse above all else. Sensual, ever-changing aromatics draw the taster in. The 2008 is gracious and lifted on the palate, yet also possesses a remarkable sense of understated richness. Just starting to enter the early part of its maturity, the 2008 also has more than enough depth to drink well for another two decades or so.Inc. GSTSG$1,788.08 -
Wine Enthusiast (93)
With a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine has both structured and superbly rich fruit. The tannins are firm, but show a sweet, enticing edge to them, giving a full body and classic, fresh black currant acidity. An impressive wine, which definitely needs to age—five years or more.Inc. GSTSG$1,131.38 -
Vinous - Josh Raynolds (91-93)
Ruby-red. Explosively perfumed bouquet of spicy red berries and cherry, with suave minerality. Vibrant red fruit flavors are finely etched and gain sweetness with air, finishing with great sappy persistence. This boasts impressive balance.Inc. GSTSG$1,016.80 -
James Suckling (100)
Incredibly floral and beautiful with dark berry, spice, cedar and mint. Chinese plums. Asian spices. Bark. Tea. Full body, dense and so soft and complex. The finish goes on for minutes. Endless and fine. January 2017 release. This reminds me of the gorgeous 1991 or 1964. Drink forever. A wine that you want to spend time with.Inc. GSTSG$1,778.59 -
Jancis Robinson (19+)
Deep garnet with a wide smudgy rim. Spicy and laced with sweet chocolate. A certain untamed quality to the fine dark fruit. Peppery and highly seasoned but that doesn’t batter the fruit, which is more like blackberry than cherry or cassis. As on several of the wines from this stable, there’s a savoury dark-olive quality. Tannins are thick, resolved but not yet fine/elegant. Still remarkably not ready for the fullest expression of pleasure but it is clearly moving towards refinement and already has wonderful length.Inc. GSTSG$1,846.14
