Following the exceptional 2010, the 2011 Altos de Lanzaga was the top of the range until Las Beatas arrived and stole the show. Still you should not overlook this exceptional cuvée from four plots of old, head-pruned vines in the village of Lanciego at 500-600 meters altitude, which are worked biodynamically. The wine fermented in 3,000-kilo oak vats with wild yeasts for 20 days and matured in 1,500 and 225-liter oak barrels for 18 months. It is a little reticent, very young and a little closed, subtle and a little shy. The palate shows very good flavors of red berries and flowers, plus a great balance between alcohol and acidity that give the wine length and persistence. 2,530 bottles produced.Inc. GSTSG$561.83 -

A strikingly beautiful chardonnay with its flowery bouquet bearing witness to the sheer purity of the incredibly long palate, the full palette of chardonnay flavours on display. Nectarine, white peach and grapefruit zest are sewn together by an invisible silver thread of acidity.Inc. GSTSG$806.03 -

When it comes to subtlety and elegant expression, this is the absolute, considered champion. This wine does not present itself as black, but as a purplish bordeaux, which immediately and visibly conveys the balance, smoothness and the silkiness of its fleshy expression. A velvet silk glove that feels like a petal or lace to the touch. A sheath, a veil of sumptuous glycerin - the essence of the peak maturity of the fruit it is made from. A perfect rotundity of palate, somewhere between acidity, softness and tannin, an oenological sheen from the technique of its formation, shedding spiced light on its native splendour.Inc. Express your refined taste with the Weingut Weiser-Künstler GAISPFAD trocken 2016, a distinctively crisp white wine that embodies class. Nestled in Germany's Mosel wine region, the Weiser-Künstler estate is lauded for its commitment to quality viticulture and old-world winemaking techniques. Harnessing the power of 80-year-old vines, this Riesling is grown on Gaispfad's grey slate soil, yielding a wine renowned for its lively minerality, balanced acidity and crisp apple notes.
2016 was a vintage year for Weiser-Künstler, producing wines of superb complexity and tension. Punctuated by nuances of citrus and stone fruit, the Weingut Weiser-Künstler GAISPFAD trocken 2016 bestows a long, dry finish that bewitches the palate. Sealed with a traditional cork, it captures the authenticity of this small but distinctive Mosel estate, echoing the passion winemakers Alexandra Künstler and Konstantin Weiser hold for Riesling. Decant this treasure to tantalise your guests or pair it with robust seafood for an exceptional dining experience.
