Wine In Stock
-
Wine Spectator (93)
Features notes of dark plum, raspberry and anise, with singed spice and subtle black tea shadings. Displays refined structure and length for the vintage. Tasted non-blind. Score range: 90-93 -JMInc. GSTSG$1,146.64 -
James Suckling (98)
Fresh blueberries and brambleberries take center stage, which is striking for a wine of this age. There are also lots of roasted herbs, such as sage, not to mention floral elements, including lavender and dried violets. Then come cedar, sandalwood and tar. The tannins are incredibly round and soft, without the slightest hint of anything dry. This is among the most elegant of Riojas, where the acidity is wonderfully pronounced and cuts right through any touch of dried fruit. Long and powerful, yet subtle on the finish. Drink now, or hold for a very long time.Inc. GSTSG$1,511.74 -
James Suckling (98-99)
This is a superb wine. I didn’t think it could be better than the 2015 but indeed it is. Full, layered and sexy. It goes on for minutes with dense fruit, yet it’s also vivid and showcases sublime tannins and acidity balance. Great finish.Inc. GSTSG$1,424.54
