The 2017 Barolo Mosconi Vigna Ped is deep, resonant and expansive, as wines from this site tend to be. In this tasting, the Mosconi is wonderfully deep. Its stature alone is compelling. And yet there is so much to the Mosconi. Readers will find a Barolo that melds together a rich, racy expression of fruit with plenty of structure that wraps everything together. Cedar, sweet pipe tobacco and crushed flowers lend wonderful aromatic nuance. The 2018 is unusually transparent, but that's not a bad thing at all, as Mosconi Barolos are typically brutes.Inc. The 2010 Barolo Vigna del Gris is beautiful, layered and expressive. Sweet tobacco, mint, licorice, crushed flowers and plums meld together in a supple, gracious wine for the year. Sweet rose petals and mint add an attractive upper register of trademark aromatics and perfume as the wine opens up in the glass. The 2010 remains dense and compact, but it is impossible to miss that the tannins here are more refined than has typically been the case with the Gris in the past, which is probably the result of vines getting older. The 2010 needs time to unwind, but it is quite pretty and full of potential. The 2014 Barolo Sorì Ginestra is striking. Ample, creamy and voluptuous, it exudes class from the very first taste. Like all of these wines, the 2014 Sori has a sweetness of tannin that is impossible to miss. Lavender, blueberry jam, spice and menthol build into the sumptuous, enveloping finish. The 2014 is a real stunner. That's all there is to it.In BondSG$1,055.00 -

The 2017 Barolo Ginestra Vigna Sorì Ginestra is another gorgeous, expressive wine in this range. Broad and ample, the 2017 captures all of the personality of this site. Dark-fleshed fruit, spice, menthol, licorice, espresso, dried flowers and pine infuse the 2017 with myriad layers of dimension. There is plenty of Ginestra energy and tannin, so a few years of cellaring is a must.In BondSG$520.00 -

The 2018 Barolo Ginestra Vigna Sorì Ginestra is a dark, brooding wine. There is plenty of the balsamic character that is typical of Ginestra. Broad tannins wrap around the wine's natural breadth, but are nicely integrated. Black cherry, gravel, spice, menthol and licorice all build over time, filling out the layers effortlessly. Readers will find a dark, brooding Barolo of real substance and power, with the context of the year.In BondSG$506.00 -

The 2019 Barolo Ginestra Vigna Sorì Ginestra is one of the most elegant wines I have ever tasted from Conterno-Fantino and the Ginestra cru. Ample and broad, with huge intensity, the Sorì Ginestra is stunning. All the Ginestra signatures come through in the glass. The 2019 is deep and vibrant, yet also wonderfully fresh. There is a creaminess in the 2019 that is impossible to miss. This is so impressive. In BondSG$229.00 -

Generous oak spices are in great harmony with the rich fruits and agile structure of this classic, memorable Barolo. Enticing cedar, cinnamon, iodine and sour cherry aromas meld with warm red cherries, cranberries and chalky mineral notes on an appropriately tannic texture. Best from 2030.In BondSG$516.00 -

Good full red. High-pitched perfume of blackcurrant and rose petal. Then wonderfully sweet and deep, with superb inner-mouth energy and lift to its dark berry and floral flavors. Wonderfully elegant and suave Barolo with a light touch. Finishes with very firm but high-quality tannins and outstanding length and lift. The wine's acidity of around 6 grams hides its 14.5% alcohol. In BondSG$116.00 -

Conterno-Fantino gave the 2010 a year in 100% new French oak, followed by a year in a combination of equal parts barrique and cask.In BondSG$1,160.00 -

The 2016 Barolo Ginestra Vigna del Gris offers a striking balance of density and the more floral, high-toned notes that are so typical of this wine. Dried flowers, rose petal, mint, sweet spice and cedar are all nicely lifted. Beams of incisive tannin give the wine its vibrant, energetic feel. I would drink it first among these four wines. In BondSG$508.00
