The 2018 Barolo Cannubi is attractive, but also embryonic. Sweet tobacco, cedar, leather, dried herbs and crushed rose petal emerge, but only with some reluctance. Silky Cannubi tannins lend finesse, suggesting what is to come. Readers will have to be patient, as the 2018 is going to need a few years to be fully expressive.
