Vinous - Antonio Galloni (92)The 2018 Les Champs Libres is a powerful, phenolic white of real substance. White flowers, citrus, chamomile, sage and light tropical notes all open in the glass, but it is the tactile feel of Les Champs Libres that leaves the deepest impression. Here, too, there is a touch of reduction, but all the elements are so finely put together. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (93+)The 2020 Les Champs Libres is gorgeous right out of the gate. In this vintage Les Champs Libres is quite savory and floral, with the fruit pushed into the background. Dried flowers, mint, sage, white pepper and almonds all open with some time in the glass. Like the Grand Village Blanc, Les Champs Libres comes across as a bit reticent. I love the energy and vibrancy here. Give this time in bottle. |

Jeb Dunnuck (94-96)The team at Lafleur makes two whites. The 2021 Château Grand Village is 73% Sauvignon and 27% Semillon, and this will be the first vintage made in the new cellars at Grand Village. It's also the first year where it was vinified at cooler temperatures, which might have resulted in the incredible purity and precision in this beauty. Pineapple, flowers, hints of banana (which I've no doubt will dissipate over the course of its élevage), and chalky, salty notes give way to a medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, crystalline white that's well worth seeking out. |

Jeb Dunnuck (95)Another incredible white from the Guinaudeau family, the 2022 Les Champs Libres Blanc is based on 100% Sauvignon Blanc brought up in a mix of new and used oak, It delivers lemon, pineapple, honeysuckle, crushed stone, and white flowers as well as a medium-bodied, lively, racy, exotic style on the palate. As I wrote during En Primeur, this is a masterclass in world class Sauvignon Blanc that readers shouldn’t miss. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (94)The 2023 Les Champs Libres is just as impressive as it was in barrel. Aromatic, airy and lifted, Champs Libres is captivating. Lemon peel, chalk, white pepper, mint and sage open beautifully in the glass. There's a lightness in the 2023 that is so appealing. Readers will find a dry white that is all about understatement and class. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (93)The 2016 Les Cruzelles is every bit as captivating from bottle as it was from barrel. Dense, pliant and inviting, the 2016 has so much to offer. Black cherry, plum, menthol, licorice, new leather and lavender all run through this super-expressive, pliant Lalande de Pomerol from Denis Durantou. The 2016 offers a striking combination of fruit intensity and structure. I loved it. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (93)Super-ripe dark cherry, blackberry, chocolate, spice, new leather and licorice are some of the many notes that run through the 2017 Les Cruzelles. Unctuous and flamboyantly ripe, with tons of intensity, the 2017 is another drop-dead gorgeous beauty in this range from Denis Durantou. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (93)The 2018 Lés Cruzelles impressed from barrel. Now in bottle, it has developed quite a precocious, intense bouquet of blackberry and blueberry fruit, a light savory note and earthy scents emerging with time. The palate is just wonderful: exquisitely balanced, quite structured yet not unapproachable, the acidity perfectly judged, with a ferrous note toward the finish. This is as good a Lalande de Pomerol as you will find in this vintage. |

Jeb Dunnuck (95)Cut from the same cloth as the La Chenade, the 2022 Château Les Cruzelles is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc raised in 50% new French oak. It's beautifully textured and medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a beautiful sense of freshness in its juicy black cherries, cassis, chocolaty herbs, and graphite driven-aromatics. This beautifully layered, pure, seamless 2022 will be a giant killer in a blind lineup. |

Readers who own the 2023 should be thrilled. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (90)The 2015 Les Fiefs de Lagrange has a generous bouquet with red cherries, strawberry and light red currant jus aromas. The oak here is nicely integrated, and a little more gregarious in style than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with a powdery texture, a fine bead of acidity, quite sharp and citrus in style with a generous dash of white pepper on the finish. This is turning into a much better second wine than I expected. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting. |
