An epitome of French viticulture, the Chateau Fuisse Pouilly Fuisse VV 2005 originates from the esteemed vineyards in the Maconnais region of southern Burgundy. Wine Advocate (93)Aromas of Meyer lemon, orange blossom, delicately musky peach, honeycomb and wheat toast introduce the 2016 Pouilly-Fuissé Le Clos, a full-bodied, multidimensional wine with terrific depth and concentration at the core, balanced by succulent acids and concluding with a long, perfumed finish. It's similar in scale to the Brûlées, but it's simultaneously more intense and more controlled; it's also the most elegant of the Château Fuissé's wines. |

Wine Advocate (94)The 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Le Clos is showing superbly, unfurling in the glass with aromas of honeycomb, mandarin, confit lemon and citrus zest that are deftly framed by a light touch of new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, broad and satiny, with a deep and multidimensional core, lively acids and a long, saline finish. It's the finest rendition of this bottling for several years. |

Vinous (94)The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé Le Clos 1er Cru which comes from the walled vineyard, the only officially-recognised Premier Cru monopole of 2.68ha, the vines east-facing on three soils - clay at the bottom, marl in the middle and limestone at the top. It was picked on 30 August. The nose is quite reticent at first, so leaving the wine in my glass for 10 minutes, it really opens and shows its complexity thanks to the mélange of soils, honeysuckle and dried honey, lime and faint hints of liquorice. The palate is very well balanced with good depth, real weight and presence here, texturally-satisfying with impressive persistence on the finish. Excellent, but wise owls will cellar this for several years before broaching. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (90-92)The 2023 Pouilly-Fuissé Le Clos 1er Cru is more closed on the nose compared to the Les Brulés, though well defined and just requiring more time in bottle. The palate is well balanced with a touch of mint and white pepper on the entry. Light in grip but with fine body and depth, this fans out with a little more chutzpah than the Les Brulés on the finish. Very promising. |

Wine Advocate (91-93)The 2016 Le Boscq, owned by Vignobles Dourthe, is a blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot and was picked 29 September until 20 October. This represents a move towards Cabernet Sauvignon and away from Merlot in the final blend. It has a very ripe, opulent bouquet that does not quite convey its terroir with the same aplomb as say, the Phelan-Ségur. It translates more of the winemaking than the terroir. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, crisp acidity and quite an elegant finish. It is in the second half of this wine that the quality of the vintage shows through. Hopefully the aromatics will gain more composure and it will live up to the finish it currently displays. One to watch. |

Vinous - Antonio Galloni (93)The 2019 Le Boscq is fabulous. A rush of wild cherry, smoke, licorice, tobacco, incense and scorched earth races across the palate. This deep, flavorful Saint-Estèphe is wonderfully expressive today. I would give the tannins a few years to soften. Le Boscq is a great choice for readers who want to explore the appellation without splurging on some of the bigger names. |
