Vinous - Neal Martin (90)The 2022 Fleurie proves how Eyre is a dab-hand at Gamay as she is at Pinot Noir. Vivid red cherries and cassis scents bound from the glass and light up the senses. The palate is notable for its purity of fruit and fineness of tannins, beautifully balanced with a succulent finish that is not overwhelmed by the precocity of the vintage. Just very good winemaking leading to a delicious Fleurie. Tasted at Maison de Colombier in Beaune. |
