The 2012 Bastor-Lamontagne is simple and rather monotone on the nose. The palate is clean and fresh, well balanced, but like the nose, it is missing personality and feels short on the finish. For want of a better word, this comes across as a bit bland. Tasted blind at the Southwold Ten-Year On tasting.
