The palate is medium-bodied with supple, very fine tannins, and here the Les Amoureuses character really shines. Veins of blue fruit and spices burst through on the finish. (10% vendange entier): Bright medium red. Fruitier on the nose but less complex than the Plantes, offering scents of cherry, raspberry and olive. Offers lovely sweetness and depth, as well as captivating inner-mouth perfume, but a bit less refined and smooth in the early going than the Plantes. Today this nicely balanced, energetic wine's tannins are a bit pronounced but the finish shows excellent juicy length. Today this nicely balanced, energetic wine's tannins are a bit pronounced but the finish shows excellent juicy length. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, assiduously judged acidity and a mineral-driven finish that seems to lacquer the mouth after it has departed.
