The silky texture and legs indicate generous alcohol, but this is balanced, if on the larger side. It takes its time in the glass, at first a little overpowering, but it settles into itself and has been well handled offering good ageing potential. Suave and silky but not at all overly sweet, with a lovely subtle perfumed character in the mouth. Very complex and distinctive 100%-merlot wine in an elegant style. Finishes long and perfumed. This property, located between Le Pin and Trotanoy, was recently purchased by Catherine Pere-Verge, owner of Le Gay. Dense purple in color, with silky tannins, a full-bodied mouthfeel, great nobility and palate penetration, this is a sensational, compelling Pomerol to drink over the next 20-25 years.Inc.
