Jeb Dunnuck (95)Beautiful black cherry, graphite, roasted herb, and cedar pencil notes emerge from the 2019 Château Haut Brisson, an incredibly well-balanced, elegant, finesse-driven Saint-Emilion that brings beautiful richness and depth. It might be the finest wine I've tasted from this estate, and while it already offers pleasure, it will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and cruise for a solid two decades. It's impressive. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (91)The 2020 Haut-Chaigneau represents a fine Lalande-de-Pomerol. Black plums commingle with leather and pencil lead scents that is well-defined. The palate is medium-bodied with lovely sappiness on the entry, impressive depth and commendable balance. That Cabernet Franc imparts an attractive pencil lead tincture on the finish that gives it a Left Bank allure. This has kicked on nicely through its élevage and deserves a higher score than I gave from barrel. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (92)The 2017 Haut-Marbuzet has a very perfumed bouquet with redcurrant, blackberry and light floral aromas, all enticingly pure, albeit without the complexity of some of the best vintages that I have tasted from this Saint-Estèphe cru. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity with good density and grip towards the black pepper tinged finish. Excellent and a wine that is in the mold of previous vintages. |
