Wine Advocate (96)Tasted blind, the 2015 Echézeaux Grand Cru also put in a superb performance, bursting from the glass with an expressive bouquet of dark wild berries, cola, orange rind, dried flowers and espresso. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, lavish and dramatic, with a broad attack, a deep and juicy core of fruit, satiny structuring tannins and a long, fragrant and already sapid finish. It's one of the finest renditions of Echézeaux to be found this year. |

Decanter (95)Yields were back up to normal here in 2017 after the frost-ravaged 2016 crop. This impressive Échézeaux, sourced from old vines in Les Rouges du Bas, is floral and appealing, with alluring texture, aromas of peony and rose petal, velvety tannins and a refreshing, chalk-tinged acidity. The slight reduction will disappear after racking. |

Vinous (94)The 2018 Echézeaux Grand Cru has an attractive nose of brambly red fruit, orange rind, sous-bois and a touch of wilted rose petal. The palate is medium-bodied with furry tannins, plenty of dusky red berry fruit with white pepper and sage. Fine weight, perhaps a little rustic towards the finish but it gains weight and coheres with aeration. Give this another couple of years in bottle. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting. |

Vinous (92-94)The 2010 Nuits St. Georges Aux Boudots comes across as weighty and substantial, especially after the Roncières. Black cherries, plums, graphite, menthol, flowers and deep, exotic spices meld together impressively in this totally striking wine. The Boudots boasts tremendous textural depth and intensity all the way through to the round, sensual finish. At times it comes across as very Vosne-like, hardly a surprise given that Boudots lies next to Malconsorts. |

Vinous (92)The 2011 Nuits St. Georges Aux Boudots seems to bring together elements of both preceding wines, namely the floral notes, red-toned fruit and silky tannins of the Pruliers, with the volume and richness of the Roncières. Vinous (93-95)The Nuits St. Georges Aux Boudots is the richest and most voluptuous of the 2012 Nuits 1er Crus. Sweet raspberry, cinnamon, mint, new leather and licorice resonate off the palate in a generous, open Nuits loaded with class and pure textural volume. Flowers, dried herbs and mint add complexity over time. The 2012 should drink well with minimum cellaring because of its pure generosity and volume, but it also has more than enough stuffing to age well for a number of years. This is a great example of the Grivot house style at its very best. |

Vinous (93-95)The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru comes from the old part of the vineyard, half of which was replanted in spring 2017 (these young vines may reenter this cru next year, or more likely the Bourgogne Rouge until they reach maturity). The crisp, fresh, well-defined bouquet is probably the best among Grivot’s Nuits Saint-Georges this year, reflecting the pedigree of this vineyard. The palate is medium-bodied with impressive mineralité and tension, quite "strict" in style but boasting so much coiled-up energy on the finish that you could easily drink it now. This is a superb offering that should age with grace and style over many years. |

Wine Advocate (92-94)The 2014 Nuits St Georges 1er Cru les Pruliers was much more backward on the nose compared to the 2014 les Roncières when I tasted it at the domaine; this is broody and a bit sulky at the moment. The palate is more expressive with fine, saturated tannin. The new oak is a little more prominent here and will need time to be absorbed, but there is plenty of fruité and density on the finish; plus there is tangible mineralité and indeed, spiciness on the finish that has more concentration than Etienne Grivot's other Nuits-Saint-Georges.
