A stunningly successful Lagrange, easily one of the best ever at the property, with complexity, density, and staying power. Combines the exuberant texture of the 2009 with precision and clarity of fruit. The conditions of the vintage meant the smallest size of beries in 35 years, and although the tannins are clearly present they are finessed and sappy. A very young wine, but balanced and seductive, with lush cassis and blackberry fruits. 3.47ph, 60% new oak - this is an upscore from my last tasting of this vintage, but it is really singing. Harvest October 3 to October 24 with a record (since Suntory purchase) 49% of production making it to the 1st wine. Eric Boissenot consultant.Inc. GSTSG$1,007.07 -

This vintage showcases the producer’s commitment to excellence, resulting in a harmonious and lingering finish. Wine Advocate (87-89)
The 2015 Lagrange, the Pomerol version not Saint Julien, is a blend of 96% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. It has a simple bouquet, perhaps a little monotone compared to its peers, but clean and fresh. The palate is medium-bodied with light, grainy tannin. It is nicely balanced, not a deep Pomerol or complex, although the finish slips down the throat easily. Enjoy this uncomplicated Pomerol over the next 6-8 years.Inc. GSTSG$859.88 -
Vinous - Antonio Galloni (88-91)
The 2017 Lagrange, 100% Merlot, offers lovely brightness to play off the natural juiciness of the year. Red cherry, plum and floral notes grace the palate in this silky, nuanced Pomerol. Medium in body and nuanced, Lagrange will likely drink well with minimal cellaring. This is really quite lovely.Inc. GSTSG$694.11 -

Enjoy this uncomplicated Pomerol over the next 6-8 years. In BondSG$678.00 -
Vinous - Antonio Galloni (88-91)
The 2017 Lagrange, 100% Merlot, offers lovely brightness to play off the natural juiciness of the year. Red cherry, plum and floral notes grace the palate in this silky, nuanced Pomerol. Medium in body and nuanced, Lagrange will likely drink well with minimal cellaring. This is really quite lovely. In BondSG$518.00 -
