An ample, expansive and broad wine of striking inner perfume and sweetness, the 2016 is flat-out stunning. Crushed raspberry, mint, spice and blood orange infuse the 2016 with incredible depth and complexity before it finishes with mind-blowing intensity. All I can say is: Wow! |

Medium in body, with soft contours for a young Barolo, the Acclivi is so expressive today, before it starts to shut down with air. That bodes very well for its future. The 2017 is a blend of Monvigliero, Neirane and Rocche dell' Olmo, with less Monvigliero than normal because the younger vines went into the Langhe Nebbiolo, and a correspondingly higher presence of Rocche dell'Olmo. |

Creamy and layered in the glass, with terrific persistence and fine balance, the Acclivi is an absolute delight in 2018. Red/purplish berry fruit, rose petal, spice, lavender and macerated cherry build nicely over time. The Acclivi is sometimes overlooked in this range, which is a shame as it is a terrific wine. |

Jeb Dunnuck (99)The 2019 Barolo Acclivi is ripe with fresh raspberry, fresh sage, cinnamon, and wild roses. It takes on more depth and concentration and is long and elegant on the palate, with fine tannins and fresh notes of grenadine, dusty earth, and dried flowers. Long on the palate, cleansing and refined, with apricot and fresh citrus, this wine is drinking wonderfully at all its stages and is one of the more exceptional wines in the range for its balance. Drink 2025-2045. |
