A new-comer to the Cru portfolio, this is a classically lgiht and ethereal southern French Rosé with one key, delightful difference, it is wonderfully sparkling, adding a refreshing additional dimension. What's more, it is a brilliant value.

Jancis Robinson (17.5)Smoke, leaf litter, black cherry, very fine, misted tannins. Dry and stately. Lots of structure and not so much fruit power as some other vintages. Lovely expressive nose though – a really delicate example. |

Wine Advocate (93)The 2013 IGP Saint Guilhem le Desert features leafy, cassis and black cherry notes. Predominantly (70% to 80%) Cabernet Sauvignon, it's medium to full-bodied and silky in texture, with lingering hints of vanilla and tobacco on the finish. Potent and concentrated, it should drink well through at least 2025. |

Vinous (93)The 2018 Rouge opens with a burst of sweet red and purplish fruit that is immediately alluring. Medium in body and silky, the 2018 impresses with its understated finesse and total class. The 2018 can be enjoyed today for its primary fruit, but I would prefer to cellar it for a few years to gain a bit more nuance. It is such a pretty and effusive wine. Bright acids and persistent tannins, both Gassac signatures, linger. |

Wine Advocate (93)A singular blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Tannat, 4% Melot, 4% Pinot Noir, 4% Petit Verdot, 4% Syrah and 3% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 IGP Saint Guilhem le Desert reveals a perfumed, complex bouquet of dark wild berries, violet, spices and mulberries mingled with carnal notes. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and balanced, it has a fleshy core of fruit framed by powdery tannins that segue into a long, penetrating and slightly wild finish. This is a moderately weighted, lively rendition of this iconic estate from the Languedoc. |
