A very sophisticated grand cru with a complex combination of purity, lift and precision on both the nose and palate, freshened with saltiness and iodine notes to finish. 5 Star Wine. Mid lemon in colour. A broader bouquet on the nose compared to Clos, as if Moutonne had thought about moving further south, while declining to abandon its Chablis roots. A suggestion of honeysuckle alongside the marine elements. Very skilfully poised on the palate. Fresh and racy at the finish with good flesh nicely tamed. Impressively persistent.
