Wine Advocate (96+)The 2022 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers is wonderfully complete, unfurling in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries mingled with orange zest, rose petals, peonies, blood orange and violets. Medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, it's pure, seamless and layered, with a cool core of fruit, ultra-refined tannins and a long, mineral finish. |

Wine Advocate (93)The 2022 Volnay Clos de la Cave now incorporates some younger vines that were planted with high-quality selections of "Pinot Fin," which seems to only have amplified its floral, ethereal style. Wafting from the glass with notes of peonies, orange zest, rose petals and violets mingled with sweet red berries, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a suave, textural profile and a long, mineral finish. As readers may remember, it derives from a sloping parcel just below the tree line that's shaded earlier in the evening than climats situated lower down the slope. |

Wine Advocate (92+)The 2022 Volnay Vieilles Vignes is rather rich and muscular, unwinding in the glass with aromas of dark berries, spices and plums, followed by a medium to full-bodied, broad-shouldered and textural palate, its deep core of fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins. Its more powerful, structured profile reflects its origins, from vines that see all-day sun and little in the way of breeze and located in the red clay soils below premier cru Carelles. |

Burghound (89)(from 5 different lieux-dits that saw 15% of new and one-year old wood). A slightly cooler if still ripe nose reflects notes of white pepper, plenty of citrus influence and discreet shellfish nuances. Here too the palate impression of the middleweight flavors is one of richness and generosity yet the supporting acidity is both a little firmer and a bit brighter as well. This delicious effort could use better depth but more should reasonably develop with a few years of aging. |
