There's just a touch of reduction on the day that I tasted it from barrel. The palate is medium-bodied with sweet fluid tannins that lend this Suchots a sense of rondeur. Well-judged acidity, quite caressing with a touch of piquancy on the finish, this is delightful, less ravishing yet more stylish Les Suchots that will drink beautifully over the next two decades.Inc. A suggestion of immense weight, certainly some new oak, but waiting for the fruit and the personality of the wine to emerge. Now some coconut and the feeling that the wine is about to release its magic. Superbly suave on the palate, more lifted than I expected and still the main core of the wine does not want to be touched. A fine mineral acidity at the finish but still wait and see. Only right at the end does it all start to kick in. A wine of immense density for the very long-term future. Retasting the glorious Cabotte reinforces the majesty of this Montrachet.
