Grand Veneur
The Jaume family founded Domaine Grand Veneur, tending its vines since 1826. Alain has run this Southern Rhone estate since 1979, now helped by his two sons. He has a long term approach, respecting their great terroir and preserving their legacy. The wine is a traditional style, except the Chateauneufs which are distinctly modern. It is some of the most exciting wine from the region, whilst standing the test of time as it ages well.

Wine Advocate (96-98)I was blown away by the prospective blend I tasted of the 2018 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes. Already delicious, it combines raspberries and cherries with vanilla cream and baking spices. Full-bodied, rich and velvety, it shows great length and freshness, ending in hints of garrigue and licorice. |
