This 2009 is full of fleshy black cherry and plum. Subtle notes of herbs, spices and caramelised onion make it finely fragranced with a well balanced structure. It is full bodied with fine tannins, yet remarkably fresh. It will be enjoyable for the next ten years.

Château Cheval Blanc

About Château Cheval Blanc Château Cheval Blanc is one of the most famous estates in St. Émilion.  It is one of only four châteaux awarded Premier Cru Classé A in the 2012 Classification (with Ausone, Pavie and Angelus).  The name means “white horse” and the estate traces its history to 1832 when the Ducasse family purchased some vines from neighbour Figeac to create a new estate.   The incredible state of the art winery is a UNESCO world heritage site which dwarfs the château, yet with subtlety and grace. The wine has a stunning purity, with a ripeness similar to its Pomerol neighbours; yet, it is unmistakably, can only ever be, the one and only, Cheval Blanc.
