Scoring 93+ points from Galloni, but costing just a minuscule £85 per case IB, any wine lover would be made to turn down this "wine of magnificent purity and class" (AG). Also scoring 17.5/20 from JancisRobinson.com's Walter Speller, the Le Cinciole 2018 is his joint-highest scoring Chianti Classico from the whole of the 2018 vintage.
Made from 100% Sangiovese from vines sitting at 450 metres above sea level, the palate offers "terrific persistence" (AG) with the tangy cherry raspberry fruits deepen on the palate turning into gorgeous savory and earthy notes. A "deep, layered Chianti Classico full of character" (AG) and "nervy intensity" (WS) at such a low price, what more could any wine lover want?
Panzano in Chianti. 100% Sangiovese grown at 450 m above sea level. Spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks and aged in large oak casks.
Lustrous, youthful crimson. Deep dark and minerally cherry nose with hints of raspberries. Compact tangy cherry and raspberry fruit that really deepens on the palate while keeping its nervy intensity. Coating tannins complement the whole.

The 2018 Chianti Classico is a wine of magnificent purity and class. Lavender, sage, tobacco and cedar open first, leading to a core of dark red/purplish fruit. Savory and earthy, with terrific persistence, the 2018 has so much going on. Readers will find a deep, layered Chianti Classico full of character. The 2018 will benefit from a few years in bottle, as it is a bit tight at this stage.
