  • Bouscaut 2017 (6x75cl)

    Vinous - Neal Martin (88)

The 2017 Bouscaut does not quite reveal the same precision and detail on the nose as some of its peers, though it does improve with aeration showing humidor and espresso. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins and supple in texture. An understated, pliant finish renders this quite approachable. Drink over the next 5 to 7 years.

  • Bouscaut 2020 (12x37.5cl)

    Jeb Dunnuck (92-94)

I loved the 2020 Château Bouscaut. It has an incredible nose of pure cassis and black raspberries interwoven with notes of violets, tobacco, sous bois, and ample spicy background oak. Just a classic Graves on the palate, with medium to full-bodied richness, lots of classic minerality, scorched earth nuances, ripe tannins, and a great finish, it’s going to benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and keep for 15-20 years or more. I love the balance, and this is unquestionably a wine well worth seeking out.

  • Bouscaut 2021 (12x75cl)

    Jancis Robinson (16.5)

Dark, glowing crimson. Quite a rich, ripe nose. Suave palate with sufficient fruit (I wonder why their Merlot did so well?) and yet some bordeaux rigidity. Bone dry! Classic build that will always need food but the structure is fine. It’s just a little lacking density.

  • Bouscaut Blanc 2005 (12x75cl)
    (12x75cl) 2005

    Vinous - Antonio Galloni (90)

The 2005 Bouscaut Blanc is a very pretty wine. It has also aged better than the red. Orange peel, chamomile, dried flowers and sage all meld together in the glass. Mid-weight and creamy, with lovely textural complexity from bottle age, the 2005 has aged nicely. I wouldn’t push my luck aging it, but the 2005 is a total delight.
