Jeb Dunnuck (94)Coming from the northern part of Saint-Joseph (where the domaine is), the 2020 Saint Joseph Blanc is mostly Marsanne but includes one-third Roussanne, with the élevage occurring in 10% new wood. This beauty got a “wow” in my notes and has a gorgeous bouquet of honeyed peach, pineapple, marzipan, and brioche. Medium to full-bodied, wonderfully textured, and balanced, I'm a fan. It should keep for at least 3-5 years, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it evolve for even past a decade if you're so inclined. |

Halliday Wine Companion (95)One taste and a laser lightshow starts up. This is so racy, juicy and succulent it speeds across the palate. Stop. Reflect. Grapefruit and Meyer lemon, a smidge of creamy lees and lemon curd texture, plus wood spices with the oak seamless. Mostly, it’s mouth-watering, flinty, fine and exceptionally long. Wonderful wine. |

Wine Advocate (94)The 2018 Morgon Côte du Py derives from both higher-altitude and lower-lying parcels, and it is a great success this year, offering up a lovely bouquet of dark fruits, cherries, smoked meat and licorice. The Wine Independent (100)The 2010 Montrose is composed of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it needs a lot of swirling and coaxing to bring out notes of baked plums, boysenberry preserves, warm cassis, and licorice, followed by hints of mocha, tapenade, crushed rocks, and cast-iron pan. The full-bodied palate has a formidable structure of very firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness supporting the voluptuous black fruit and mineral layers, finishing long, long, long. |

Vinous - Neal Martin (97)The 2015 Pichon-Baron has an engaging, complex bouquet of blackberry, cedar, mint and graphite, demonstrating more cohesion and more conviction than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and extremely well-judged acidity that imbues this Pauillac with a sense of effortlessness and class lacking in some of its peers. A stunning 2015 and one of the greatest releases from the estate. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting. |
