Barossa Old Vine Company Shiraz 2005 (1x150cl)
You can credit you account in Account Management.
Full-bodied, but supple, round and plush, the sheer density of the black fruits from 100+-year-old vines submerging the alcohol and absorbing 60% new French oak; soft velvety tannins. Diam please.
Inky ruby color. Powerfully scented, expansive bouquet of smoky blackberry, boysenberry and resinous herbs; suave cola and vanilla qualities gain power with aeration. Sappy dark berry and candied cherry flavors stain the palate, picking up supple tannins on the back end. Impressively juicy and concentrated wine, with outstanding finishing thrust and cling. Wears its 15.5% alcohol very well.
Rich, decadent and gooey in texture, this is layered with cherry, raspberry, peppermint and oak flavors that jostle one another for prominence. The finish roars on. Needs time to settle down.
